I’ve had the pleasure of making many Steffen rods over the years and it seems that Mark is closing the order book. This is the second-to-last Steffen I’ll be offering from a blank I’ll have acquired directly from Mark. This rod is a beauty however. A highly figured Turkish walnut set set off w/ blued hardware and a spiral etched butt cap starts things off. The grip is a slim tapered cigar. Wraps are dark brown tipped cream. Guides are of course blackened Snake Brand w/ a dark Arguello agate. I’ve said a lot about this rod over the years and all of that holds true. A glass gem worth owning while you can.
