Another vintage blank I’ve been sitting on for quite awhile, this is a very late model Phillipson/3M blank w/ spigot ferrules. This rod has a more traditional vintage glass feel… it has some heft in hand but is a bit quicker than other, older Epoxites i’ve cast and built. Due to its age, the blank does have some surface blemishes (a few patches of white spotting… see picture of grip end) which are strictly cosmetic. This build features a 5.5″ cigar grip done similarly to Phillipsons of this era. The seat is mahogany w/ a bronze cap and ring hardware provided by Lemke. Wraps are chestnut nylon w/ golden color preserved nylon accents at the grip, signature, and ferrules. Though not shown, this rod will come with a shop made bag and cordura covered rod tube.
