The 476 Packlight takes the standard 4 piece taper and knocks it back to a 5pc. rod making transport in a carry-on or backpack a cinch. This rod was finished in a slightly different style than my standard. For one, the seat is a pocketed cap and ring w/ nickel silver hardware. In a nod to the classic Winston glass rods I opted for a delrin plastic black butt cap w/ a concentric circle pattern. The cork check is also delrin. This touch was found historically on some EW Edwards rods (however done in bakelite) and adds contrast between the seat and grip. The grip is a 5.5″ cigar style. Wraps are light green (appearing translucent) with black and grey accents at the ferrules and grip. The hook keeper is a single footed looped version. Guides are chrome snake brand and a mildrum stripping guide was used. Rod includes the pictured Epic branded tube and bag.
